Something I wrote in reply to Your view on Reservation in rediff
There should definitely be reservation but not based on caste but should be income-based. The well-off backward classes can afford good education especially primary. Once they grow up with a strong foundation, I dont see a reason for them gettin an easy admit into prestigious institutes. Let them compete with others.
The problem comes with the poor. They cannot afford education in private schools and have no other go but Govt schools the quality of which is no hidden fact. Why have quotas based on caste? We say we are secular and that we treat all religions same but then impose quotas based on caste. This is hypocracy at its best. Instead lets improve the state of primary education and make the private school education affordable.
Life is not just about IIT-IIM. There are many other spheres of life in which they are lacking. Lets strive to improve those than talking just about getting into these institutes. Lets strive to make them competent in the field of arts, literature, history, economics.
We are only preparing the road for our own disaster. Lets get our act together before its too late!

From my point of view, there should not be any reservation. Poor people can be sponsored by goverment thro sponsers, but reservation is purely a political game. Making it for poor sounds good. But implementation is nearly impossible in a country which can collect IT from only less than 5% of people.All those who dont pay Tax are poor :-).

I think we should have job reservations in all the fields. I completely support the PM and all the politicians for promoting this. Let's start the reservation with our cricket team. We should have 30 percent for OBC, SC/ST like that. Cricket rules should be modified accordingly. The boundary circle should be reduced for an SC/ST player. The four hit by an OBC player should be considered as a six and a six hit by a OBC player should be counted as 8 runs. An OBC player scoring 60 runs should be declared as a century.
We should influence ICC and make rules so that the pace bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar should not bowl fast balls to our OBC player. Bowlers should bowl maximum speed of 80 kilometer per hour to an OBC player. Any delivery above this speed should be made illegal.
Also we should have reservation in Olympics. In the 100 meters race, an OBC player should be given a gold medal if he runs 80 meters.
There can be reservation in Government jobs also. Let's recruit SC/ST and OBC pilots for aircrafts which are carrying the ministers and
politicians (that can really help the country.. )
Ensure that only SC/ST and OBC doctors do the operations for the ministers and other politicians. (Another way of saving the country..)
Let's be creative and think of ways and means to guide INDIA forward...
Let's show the world that INDIA is a GREAT country. Let's be proud of being an INDIAN..

All those who dont pay tax are poor!! Cmon dont tell me that. There are lakhs of rich people who dont pay tax. Rich farmers, doctors, lawyers escape tax easily. This is not to say I am blaming this fraternity but the fact is we dont get any receipt for paying fees to doctors or lawyers. There will be hazaar more occupations like this. So the tax base is quite small in India and so there is a need to improve that.
Coming to reservation pt of view put by someone in a different way, its very easy to bluntly criticize something. Lets think of a way which can make the system better. There will be loopholes in any system. Even this OBC reservation can lead to people acquiring fake certificates and proofs. There is no limit to such a thing.

How can i remove windows xp from my laptop and reinstall windows Me -the laptops indigenous software?
I procure recently bought a in use accustomed to laptop that is old. The mortal physically I had bought it from had installed windows xp on it, orderly yet it at came with windows Me. I be to remove the windows xp because it runs slows on the laptop because it takes up more honour than the windows Me would. Also I wish to massacre windows xp because it is an wrongful copy.
